![]() ![]() Replacing on the camera now only requires insertion into the hot shoe, then 1/4 turn of this knob to the "click". A small button in the edge of the new knob must be pressed, then the knob rotated 1/4 turn to the left to release the transmitter from the camera. The hot shoe attachment to the camera is now the quick 1/4 turn and latch style that was first introduced on the X2T c, and I like it a lot. So, what's new about this new version transmitter. I may learn more and will post anything that I discover here too. On this past Wednesday 2/22/23 I received one of the new versions of the X PRO c Flash Control Transmitter from Amazon, the X PRO II c, and have been playing with it's adjustments and reading it's manual to learn what is different about it from the earlier version, of which I already have three X PRO models. Some interesting facts about the new Godox X Pro II light control. Just make sure it is seated well in the hot shoe, I had that problem with my D850 i wasnt pushing in all the way using godox version. This behaviour is erratic and can not be predicted with certainty, other than the strobe not firing, lol. You can visually see the in camera flash icon turn off, pressing the shutter button fires the shutter without a flash but turns the flash icon back on and will trigger the strobe on the next shutter press. This is a know issue with the Nikon version of the Adorama Flashpoint R2 Pro MKII for Nikon. Nope! I have tried both 0-30m and 0-100m and the misfires persist. The new hot shoe lock makes it easier to remove the transmitter for setting the light levels, making the cell phone Bluetooth App even less useful. ![]() I spent considerable time getting the cell phone App and my X2Tc transmitter working together, only to be totally un-impressed with it. The Bluetooth cell phone App for remote setting of the transmitter groups does not impress me at all. It's so much easier to use when removing and replacing the transmitter from the camera. I do like the 1/4 turn hot shoe base lock though. Sadly, they failed to provide this, again. What I was hoping for, in the new Pro transmitters, is a screen pivot to allow a vertical screen when shooting from a high tripod. I would expect that both of these will remain the same in the new Flashpoint and Godox X Pro transmitters. I hope the new Pro II transmitter allows for more when 16 groups are selected. ![]() You can't use TTL if you select 16 groups. ![]() I too had this problem when first using one.Īnother switch allows 16 groups or only 5 groups. You probably have it on the shorter range. Was waiting on the Flashpoint version, but this is exactly the same with a different logo. Needless to say I am ordering one for my R6. My buddy has a R5 and got his today, he texted me shot examples. Wonder if this will solve the HSS using ETTL issue with the R5/6? EDIT: Yes! I now can use ETTL and HSS together with the R5. I hope so as I will be purchasing this new Godox trigger. Of note in the Strobepro video they mention Adorama's and state it is completely different with newer technology. I also own the Godox X2T and it is rock solid. The Adorama Flashpoint R2 Pro MKII for Nikon has similar features, way too many buttons and is completely unreliable, lots of misfires. I'm hoping an all metal replacement foot is available for the trigger at some point. The X2 has the QR lock which is still half plastic on Sony. I prefer the smaller X1/X2 style triggers. I have the original XPro and am not sure if the II is worth the upgrade for my use case.
